Florals For Spring? Groundbreaking...

I recently indulged in a spot of sales shopping on Asos and Simply Be. I managed to pick myself up some real bargains (like 10 items for £100 hellooo) to fill some gaps in my wardrobe, and I thought I’d share some of them with you.

I picked up this baby from Simply Be, and to be honest when I first put it on I was sceptical. As you know, I’ve been struggling with my new body and I haven’t worn anything that fitted or short in a while. It didn’t help that the dress came down to the model’s knees on the website! I was conscious of the skirt riding up to high and displaying my bum for the whole world to see, but when I showed the dress to my mum she gasped and told me I looked lovely. I know mums are generally supposed to say things like that, but at that moment I was thankful for it! She also told me to go and show my dad, who reiterated her comments, so, thanks, mum and dad!

The weather might still be struggling, but it’s March now so that means springtime dammit! I will not be swayed on this. I think this dress is a good transitional piece as the dark colours blend well with wintery weather, but the florals give it a little lift that I think we all need this time of year.

What are your go-to styles for this time of year? Let me know in the comments!
